Three-piece Bend Connector

Conventional one-piece fixed elbow is integral casting structure. Once installed, the elbow angle and orientation cannot be adjusted. When pipeline hole-position is misaligned, users must rotate whole pipe spool or add extra transition adapters; disassembly requires cutting the pipeline.

Three-piece bend connector (three-piece union elbow) adopts split modular construction, composed of elbow body, union nut and sealing gasket. It supports 360-degree free rotation for angle adjustment during installation, no need to twist connected pipes. Fully detachable and reusable, no pipe-cutting required for overhaul or component replacement. Reduces adapters for complex constrained-space piping layout.

Yuanlun three-piece bend connector is modular brass union elbow assembly for pipeline direction-change. Mainly composed of angle-elbow body, union connecting nut and replaceable sealing gasket, available in 90° /45° angular options. It supports push-fit or compression connection modes, 360° free rotary adjustment. Double-seal construction passes air-tightness test.

Important note: Installation recommended to be completed by qualified plumbing technicians. Gasket must be in place; do not over-tighten union nut to avoid thread stripping or gasket crushing. Re-assembly requires brand-new sealing gasket for reliable sealing.

• Operating Principle

1. Connect pipe end with fitting push-fit / compression port to finish one-side pipe anchoring.
2. Place intact qualified sealing gasket between the mating faces of elbow-head and union nut assembly.
3. Rotate elbow-head 360° freely to adjust pipeline outlet angle to meet on-site layout requirement.
4. Tighten union nut to generate axial compression force, compress intermediate gasket to form double-seal. Complete direction-changing connection while keeping adjusted elbow-angle fixed.
5. For maintenance: Loosen union nut, elbow-head can be separated without cutting pipe; components can be reused after replacing new gasket.

Operating reminder: Rotary function only works when union nut is loosened. After final tightening, elbow-head will be locked and cannot rotate. Old gaskets shall not be reused after disassembly.

• Pre-Installation Check

1. Confirm fitting DN size matches pipe outer-diameter; confirm elbow angle (90° /45°) meets design requirement.
2. Inspect three-piece components: elbow-body, union nut and sealing gasket; reject cracked, scratched or aged spare-parts.
3. Square-cut pipe-end, fully remove burr and sharp edges to prevent gasket damage.

• Installation Steps

1. Complete push-fit or compression connection between pipe and fitting one-side port.
2. Place brand-new intact sealing gasket onto the fitting mating-face.
3. Keep union nut slightly loose, rotate elbow-head to desired outlet-angle.
4. After angle positioning, moderately tighten union nut. Do NOT over-tighten, prevent gasket crushing or brass-thread damage.
5. After assembly completion, slowly pressurize system and inspect joint for leakage.

• Important Installation Notes

1. Installation recommended for qualified plumbing technicians.
2. Rotation adjustment must be done under loose-nut state; nut tightening will lock elbow-angle.
3. Every disassembly-re-assembly must adopt brand-new sealing gasket; old gasket reuse is forbidden.
4. Strictly control union-nut tightening torque; over-torque causes thread-damage and gasket-failure.
