Types of Three-way Ball Valve
L-port ball valves (l-pattern diverter valves)
The l-port ball valve, also known as an l-pattern or diverter valve, is designed to connect two independent inlet ports to a shared outlet. Its signature “l-shaped” bore inside the ball enables selective switching between two flow paths.
T-port ball valves (t-pattern mixer valves)
T-port ball valves feature a t-shaped channel that allows them to combine two fluid sources into one outlet or distribute flow from one source to multiple destinations. The t-pattern design enables straight-through flow, mixing, or splitting, making it ideal for blending applications or distributing process fluids.
Features of Three-way Ball Valve
Tee design: Features t-type and l-type flow channels, supporting either two inlets and one outlet or one inlet and two outlets. This flexible switching capability meets requirements for flow division and confluence.
Low-resistance flow channel: The ball's flow channel diameter matches the pipe diameter, resulting in a low flow resistance coefficient and significant energy-saving effects.
Anti-jamming design: The connection between the valve stem and the ball core employs a dual o-ring + bearing structure, reducing friction and preventing jamming caused by medium crystallization.
Safety and protection: The valve body surface is nickel-plated and coated with ppr, providing double-layer rust prevention and making it suitable for humid environments.
Application of Three-way Ball Valve
Household heating systems
Replace traditional water separator valves to achieve zone control for underfloor heating/radiators. Supports two heating circuits and one return water circulation, reducing pressure loss.
Central air conditioning water systems
Used for (shunt) of chilled water/cooling water, minimizing pipeline resistance, reducing water pump energy consumption, and enhancing system efficiency.

Body
This is the main component of the 3 way ball valve. It houses all other components for off and on control.
Stem
