Direct Sliding Fasteners

Different-diameter reducing straight sliding fastener is used for connecting pipes of dissimilar outer diameters. While equal-diameter direct sliding fastener is designed exclusively for straight-line connection of pipes with identical outer dimension. No diameter transition function is available, suitable for straight-run continuation of same-size pipelines.

Yuanlun direct sliding fastener is equal-diameter straight slide-tight coupling made of premium stainless-steel. It relies on shape-memory rebound property of PE-X / PEX pipe material together with sliding-tension-ring radial compression to realize leak-proof joint, no extra auxiliary sealing gaskets required.

Complies with GB/T 22051-2008 national standard, PN16 (1.6 MPa) nominal pressure rating, continuous operating temperature up to 90℃. Compact streamlined body, high installation efficiency and comprehensive cost-reduction benefits. Important note: Installation recommended to be completed by qualified plumbing technicians. Specialized slide-tension pliers are mandatory. Pipe-end shall be squarely-cut, deburred and correctly flared; defective pipe-end will result in hidden leakage risk.

• Operating Principle

• Carry-out flaring-treatment on both pipe-ends; properly-flared mouth is prerequisite for memory-effect sealing.
• Insert two flared equal-diameter pipe-ends into respective ports of straight-coupling main-body.
• Deploy dedicated slide-tension pliers to apply axial thrust, push sliding-tension ring forward.
• Sliding-tension ring produces radial contraction, firmly clamps pipe outer-wall. Combined with shape-memory rebound force of flared pipe-end, it forms friction-lock plus self-adaptive sealing, preventing liquid/gas medium leakage.

Operating reminder: Dedicated slide-tension pliers cannot be substituted by ordinary hand-tools. Non-standard flaring or incomplete crimping will cause joint-leakage.

• Installation

Ensure pipe ends are clean and free of debris before installation. Use appropriate tools and follow proper procedures to ensure uniform contraction of the sliding tension ring and a tight fit with the pipe.

• Maintenance

Regularly inspect connections for leaks or anomalies, but no special maintenance is required. If damage or poor sealing is detected in the sliding tension fitting, replace it immediately to maintain the safe operation of the pipeline system.

• Pre-Installation Check

1. Confirm fitting DN-size matches outer-diameter of both connected equal-diameter pipes; prepare matched flaring-tool and slide-tension pliers.
2. Inspect coupling-body and sliding-tension-ring; reject cracked, scratched or deformed components.
3. Square-cut pipe-ends, thoroughly clear burrs, chips and dirt from pipe mouth and outer-wall.

• Installation Steps

1. Put sliding-tension-ring onto pipe in advance. Complete qualified flaring-process for pipe-end.
2. Insert flared pipe-end fully into one port of straight-coupling body.
3. Operate matched slide-tension pliers, push sliding-tension-ring to designated final-position.
4. Repeat flaring-insert-crimp workflow for the opposite pipe-end.
5. After assembly completion, slowly pressurize system and perform leakage inspection for both crimp-joints.

• Important Installation Notes

1. Installation recommended for qualified plumbing technicians.
2. Must use matched dedicated flaring-tool and slide-tension pliers; makeshift-tools are prohibited.
3. Pipe-end burr, incomplete flaring or insufficient crimp-stroke will trigger hidden-leakage risk.
4. Once sliding-tension-ring is crimped and plastically-deformed, reuse after disassembly is not recommended.

Routine-Maintenance Suggestion

• Visual inspection for crimp-joint leakage: Quarterly
• Check joint locking-state during system overhaul: Annually
• Replace whole fitting assembly when sealing-failure occurs: As-required
