MM Brass Ball Valve

When two female-thread fittings need isolation between them, traditional assembly uses multiple separate components: female-female coupling plus a separate ball-valve. This combination creates extra threaded joints and increases potential leakage points.

MM (Male-Male / double-external-thread) brass ball-valve integrates ball-valve shut-off function and double-male-thread connection in one single body. It reduces fitting count and threaded joints for projects where both mating ports are female-threaded.

High-strength brass material delivers good mechanical strength, corrosion-resistance and thermal-conductivity. Resists erosion under humid, weakly acidic or weakly-alkali working-conditions, fits long-term water-contact scenarios including water-treatment and HVAC heating loops.

Precision-cast blank followed by CNC machining; clearance between ball-core and PTFE seat controlled ≤0.05 mm. Minimizes fluid resistance and lowers internal-leakage risk. Nickel-plating plus passivation surface treatment improves wear-resistance, adapts for frequent repeated open-close cycles.

• MM Double-Male-Thread Integrated Body

Both ends male-external-thread design. Directly installed between two female-thread ports; cuts quantity of auxiliary couplings and reduces joint-leakage risk.

Optimized ball-and-seat matching together with ergonomic lever-handle. Operators can finish quarter-turn open-close action with little force.

• Operating Principle

1. Fully-Open Status: Handle parallel to pipe axis. Ball-core through-hole aligns with pipeline direction, medium flows through with low resistance.
2. Fully-Closed Status: Handle perpendicular to pipe axis. Solid part of ball-core blocks flow-passage; PTFE-seat compresses for tight shut-off.

Important operating reminder: Designed for full-open / full-closed isolation. Sustained partial-opening throttling service will accelerate PTFE-seat erosion and shorten service-life.

• Pre-Installation Check

1. Confirm valve DN-size and thread-specification (BSP / NPT) match project mating female-thread fittings.
2. Rotate lever-handle manually, verify smooth 90-degree open-close travel without jamming.
3. Clean mating female-thread ports, remove debris, burr and old sealant residue.

• Installation Steps

1. Wind PTFE sealing-tape 3-5 clockwise turns on male-thread end of valve body.
2. Hand-screw valve into one female-thread fitting first.
3. Connect the other male-thread end to the second female-thread port. Apply wrench torque on valve-body flats.
4. Do NOT apply torque onto lever-handle. Avoid brass-thread cracking caused by excessive tightening torque.
5. After full assembly, slowly pressurize system and inspect all threaded-joints for leakage.

• Important Installation Notes

1. Installation recommended for qualified plumbing technicians.
2. Do not use this valve for long-term partial-opening throttling.
3. Two male-thread ends both need correct PTFE-tape sealing.

Routine-Maintenance Suggestion

• Visual joint-leakage inspection: Quarterly
• Open-close functional test of lever-handle: Annually
• Replace sealing components when leakage occurs: As-required
