Reducing Elbow Sliding Fasteners

Ordinary equal-diameter slide-tight elbow only connects pipes with identical outer-diameter. When pipeline needs both angle-turning and diameter-reduction transition, users must combine separate reducing coupling plus equal-diameter elbow. This adds extra joints and increases potential leakage-points.

Reducing elbow sliding fastener integrates 90°/45° elbow direction-change + different-diameter reducing transition in one single fitting. Two ends adopt different slide-tight port sizes, directly connect two pipes of dissimilar diameters. Yuanlun reducing elbow sliding fastener is precision-manufactured stainless-steel slide-tight elbow fitting, available in 90° or 45-degree angle. Fitting body is equipped with precisely-machined sliding-tension rings with special groove chamfers, plus annular reinforcing ribs inside fitting cavity to improve sealing performance and joint stability. • Operating Principle

1. Insert pipes of two different corresponding diameters into respective slide-tight ports of reducing elbow fitting.
2. Deploy matched dedicated slide-tight crimp-tool, apply axial pressure to push sliding-tension ring forward.
3. Sliding-tension ring produces radial contraction, firmly clamps pipe outer-wall. Combined with elastic sealing-rings and inner annular-rib structure, it forms friction-lock plus compression-sealing.
4. Reliable mechanical connection and leak-proof sealing are achieved at both ends, preventing medium leakage at mixed-diameter corner joints.
5. Operating reminder: Each port needs corresponding size-matched sliding-tension ring and crimp-tool jaw. Mismatched tool size will result in incomplete crimping and hidden-leakage faults.

• Pre-Installation Check

1. Confirm reducing-elbow port-diameters match outer-diameters of two connected pipes; prepare size-matched dedicated slide-tight crimp-tool jaws for each port.
2. Inspect elbow body, sliding-tension rings and elastic sealing-rings; reject components with crack, scratch or ageing damage.
3. Square-cut both pipe-ends; completely remove burr, chips and sharp edges. Burr will scratch elastic sealing-rings.

• Installation Steps

1. For each pipe: Put corresponding-size sliding-tension ring and sealing-ring onto pipe following correct assembly sequence.
2. Fully insert two different-diameter pipes into respective slide-tight ports until reaching fitting inner stop shoulder.
3. Operate dedicated crimp-tool, push sliding-tension ring of one port to designated final-position; repeat crimp-operation for second port.
4. Reserve proper clearance for minor pipeline thermal-displacement.
5. After whole assembly completion, slowly pressurize system, inspect both slide-tight crimp-joints for leakage.
