Ever wonder how your radiant floor heating or radiators know which room to heat? Meet the Manifold-the silent conductor of your home's comfort.

What is it?
The manifold is the central hub of your hydronic heating system. It has two main parts:

Supply Manifold: The "outgoing" side that distributes hot water from your boiler to different zones (rooms).

Return Manifold: The "incoming" side that collects the cooled water and sends it back to be reheated.

How Does it Work?

Distribution: Hot water from the boiler enters the supply manifold. It's then split into separate circuits, each feeding a specific room or zone.

Control: Each circuit has its own control valve on the manifold.

      • Valve Open = More Hot Water = Warmer Room

      • Valve Closed = Less Hot Water = Cooler Room
This is the secret to zonal control, allowing you to set different temperatures for different areas.

Collection: After the water circulates and loses its heat, it returns via the return manifold to the boiler to be reheated, starting the cycle again.

Quick Tips:

Adjusting Temperature? Find the corresponding valve on the manifold for that room.

Have Air in System? Use the air vent (usually on the supply side) to bleed trapped air.

Save Energy: Close the valves to unused rooms.

In a Nutshell:
This small box on your wall gives you total command over your home's warmth. Understand it, and you can achieve perfect, energy-efficient comfort.
